Groningen Airport Eelde is a minor international airport that serves Groningen, Netherlands. Ut is located near Eelde in the province of Drenthe, about 5.5 miles from the center of Groningen. It is a public airport with an IATA code or GRQ and is operated by the Groningen Airport Eelde NV. It sits at an elevation of 5 meters above mean sea level. A runway extension was planned in the early 2000s, but it wasn’t completed till 2012.
