Heringsdorf is a famous seaside resort town in Usedom Island, Germany. It is also known as Kaiserbad, which literally translates to Imperial Spa. Heringsdorf has three parts, Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf proper, and Bansin. What makes Heringsdorf stands out is its location. The Baltic Sea is said to have healing powers. Heringsdorf Airport serves the resort town and is 17 minutes away from the town center.

It’s best to visit a resort town when the weather is good. In Heringsdorf, this should be around May to September. July is the wettest month so it’s best to avoid booking a visit during this time. The busiest month is August as it is the hottest month and the perfect time for most to enjoy the beach. Hotel rates should be expensive during this time.

A visit to a resort town is never complete without going to the beach, and Heringsdorf has lots of incredible beaches. Ahlbeck Beach is one of the more popular beach and tourist spot in Heringsdorf. A great place to look at the Baltic Sea and get some great pictures is the Heringsdorf Pier, a wooden pier that was the longest pier at the time in Europe. Go into the House of Gems and see precious stones in an intricate display.
