Barnstable Municipal Airport- HYA Airport
The Barnstable Municipal Airport- HYA airport also known as the Boardman/Polando Field is located in Cape Cod, that is also near the central business district of Hyannis, a city Barnstable county, Massachusetts. It is surrounded by cities like Commercial Street and Provincetown. Geographically, Cape Cod articulating island off mainland of Massachusetts that has heavy tourists’ influx during summer because of its beaches. HYA airport is public owned by the town of Barnstable, and has been a hub for Cape Air and Nantucket Airlines.
Best Time to Visit
Majority of landings in HYA airports are from Air Taxis, while transient general aviation follow suit. Commercial and military landings have very few landings in this airport. The HYA airport facility currently has two runways - 6/24 with 1,654 meters and 15/33 with 1,601 meters, both have asphalted surface. Further, there are four airlines operating in HYA airport; three of which offers seasonal flights to New York-LaGuardia and JFK, White Plains and Martha’s Vineyard.
