Innsbruck Airport – INN Tyrol
Around 2.5 miles from the heart of Innsbruck, is the largest airport in Tyrol, Austria, the Innsbruck Airport. It was opened in 1925, and caters flights around the Alps. During the winter season, the flow of passengers in the airport increases due to the large number of skiers travelling to the region. The airport also served as the base of Tyrolean Airways and Welcome Air until their end.

The Innsbruck Airport has one small terminal. It has no air bridges and only the stairs of the aircraft or a mobile staircase is used for boarding passengers. You can shop souvenir items and other things in the Travel Value Shop where prices of the items such as perfumes, wines cosmetics and souvenirs are reduced. It is located in the main hall of the airport. There is a café and bakery in the airport where fresh bread and snacks are served. The array of restaurants in the first floor gives travelers a wide choice of culinary delights. Bars can also be found in the departure area. INN Tyrol is the airport of choice for passengers from Medraz, Kolsassberg and other nearby cities.
