It is developed by the Irvine Company and features a Target and Nordstrom department stores, as well as a 21-screen movie house and a giant Ferris wheel. The shopping center was built in 10 years beginning in 1995 and lasted between the years 2005 and 2006 with its fourth and fifth parts. Irvine Spectrum Center is also used for establishing shots of the fictional “Mall of Miami” in a television channel. The rare architecture of the mall is based on a palace or fortress complex, which is the Alhambra in Granada, Spain.
