Kaimana Utarom Airport - KNG Kaimana
The Kaimana Utarom Airport is located within Kaimana, Indonesia. The public airport serves the province of West Papua, and it is owned and operated by the Government’s Ministry of Transportation. It has an airport code of KNG, and locals refer to it as the Utarom Airport. At present, the KNG Kaimana features modernized terminals, culminating a series of redesigns and improvements, which started in 2012. It can now accommodate as many as 102 passengers per flight.

The Kaimana Utarom Airport is classified as a third class airport. A new passenger terminal measuring 1,800 square meters was inaugurated in 2016. The KNG Kaimana features a 2,000-meter Asphalt runway, which usually receives ATR 72-500 planes. The Utarom Airport features its own airfield lighting system, precision approach path indicator, Doppler VHF, and non-directional beacon. Airlines that serve the airport include Susi Air, Wings Air, and Nam Air. These bring travelers to and from the cities of Timika, Potowai, Ambon, and Fakfak, among many others.
