Korce: Exploring Albania’s City of the Serenades
Holding the seat of Korçë County, Korce, Albania is a city formed back in 2015. It houses approximately 76,000 residents distributed to over 311 square miles of land. This makes the city the sixth biggest one in the country in terms of population. Aside from being referred to as the “City of the Serenades,” Korce is also known as the city of museums, thanks to the numerous ones found in the vicinity. The city hosts the grandest and most anticipated beer event in the country, the Korca Beer Festival held every mid-August. The event runs for a total of five days and is packed with overflowing beer and other liquor.
