Liberec: Exploring the Manchester of Bohemia
The statutory city of Liberec, Czech Republic is located close to the Lusatian Neisse and is bounded by both the Ještěd-Kozákov Ridge and the Jizera Mountains. The city is considered the fifth-biggest one in the whole country. It is dubbed as the “Manchester of Bohemia,” mainly because of the textile industry that once boomed in the city.
