Louis Trichardt: A trip to the Gateway to Africa
A town located at the foot of the Soutpansberg mountain range isLouis Trichardt in Songozwi, of the Limpopo province in South Africa. It is given a name after Louis Tregardt, a Voortrekker leader. The town is the center of the Makhado Local Municipality, having a population of 270,000 as of 2001. The surrounding area in Louis Trichardt is the land of bananas, litchis, nuts, mangoes, tea, and coffee - a rough hot terrain popular for the massive baobab and the indigo mountains. The town is small, beautiful, and famous because it serves as an access route for all of those approaching from or departing to the Kruger National Park.
