Liepāja International Airport – LPX
Considered as among the three major airports in the country, Liepāja International Airport is an airfield found almost three nautical miles from the town of Liepāja, Latvia. Although the airport is only a regional airport, it is also certified to handle international air traffic. Liepāja International Airport served as a Soviet Anti-Air Defense base during the early years of the Cold War. It is now known internationally by its ICAO code EVLA and IATA code LPX.

The airport stands at a land area of 2.2 square kilometers. It has only one runway, an asphalt-paved airstrip spanning to a length of a little over 2,000 meters. In 2018, Liepāja International Airport accommodated a total of 9,751 passengers, which are served by the airline, airBaltic. This airline flies to and from the city and connects it to the Riga International Airport in the town of Riga.
