Manacor: Hometown of a Tennis Legend
Located in the beautiful island of Mallorca, Manacor, Spain, the city is an active participant in many of the festivals celebrated in the area. It’s currently most famous for its furniture products and the supply of artificial pearls. Obviously, a visit here would not be complete if you don’t come home with one of their exquisite jewelries – unless you’re willing to take some furniture with you on the plane. The city is also the birthplace of tennis legend Rafael Nadal.
Best Time to Visit
Manacor, Spain hotels are best booked in advance for the months of May to July. These are the peak months so fare and lodging rates will be at their most expensive. Avoid the exorbitant prices with an advance booking – or just visit during the off-peak months of November onwards. The great thing about this city is that even during the off-peak months, you can easily join in their various festivals. For example, there’s the Olive Fair, the Pumpkin Fair, and the Mushroom Fair – all of which are done in November. Lovers of wine can also anticipate the New Wine Fair in the same month.

When visiting at any other time of the year, you’ll find that the city can offer numerous attractions starting with no less than 3 beaches. Obviously, it’s an island paradise with beaches like the Cala Anguila Beach, the Cala Antena Beach, and the Cala Domingo Beach. Some hotels like the 4-star Blau Punta Reina Resort give you easy access to the white sand beaches while the Hotel Palia Maria Eugenia offers quick access to the main city.
