Marugame: Temples, Castles, Shrines, All in One City
There are many wonderful attractions to see in Japan with some of the best located in Marugame, a city in Kagawa Prefecture. The city is the home of the country’s only castle that used original wood tenshu, the Marugame Castle. Other than temples, theatres, and shrines, the city is also loved by tourists for its great Marugame hotel choices. The nearest airport is less than 20 miles away, the Takamatsu Airport (TAK).

It is best to explore the city during the warm weather months. For swimming activities and day tours, the hottest month in Marugame is August. The busiest time of the year is February. It may be difficult to find an ideal hotel during the peak season, so book your stay ahead of time.
What to Do & Area Attractions
One of the most popular sites in the city is the Marugame Castle. This castle is adorned for its lovely exteriors and wooden tenshu. It is the only castle that is set on a man-made hill. Fans are produced in this castle. Another wonderful landmark is the Great Seto Bridge. The double deck bridge connects the Kagawa prefecture and the Okayama prefecture.
