Maré Airport – MEE
Located on the island of Maré, New Caledonia, Maré Airport is a public domestic airport which is the primary entry point to the island via air. It is part of the town of La Roche and is sometimes called La Roche Airport. Maré Airport goes by the ICAO airport code NWWR and IATA code MEE.
Best Time to Visit
The airport stands at the elevation of 43 meters above mean sea level and features a single paved runway with a length of 1,000 meters and, width of 25 meters. There are two airlines currently using the airport, Air Caledonie and Air Loyaute, which connects to the airports at Lifou, Tiga, Ouvéa, and Nouméa. Flights to and from Nouméa are the busiest and most frequent among the routes. Maré is home to a couple of stunning beaches and natural attractions, so make sure to explore the island if you’re coming in from Maré Airport.
