Best Time to Visit
Minami – Daito Airport is a tiny domestic airport which has a 1,500 meter runway made up of both asphalt and concrete. It offers one of the shortest flights in Japan. Ryukyu Air Commuter is the only airline hosted by the airport as of January 2018. The flight from Naha to Minami-Daito and Kitadaito back to Naha is the only flight operational every day. One of the best features of the airport is its onsite sushi bar, perfect for a quick snack while waiting for flights. Because the airport is small, it cannot offer many facilities; however, the airport is really clean, the staff is warm and hospitable.
