Dane County Regional Airport – MSN
Located around six miles from the downtown area of Madison, Wisconsin, the Dane County Regional Airport is a public airport serving the capital of the state, Madison. This civil-military airport is categorized by the Federal Aviation Administration as a small-hub primary commercial service facility. Dane County Regional Airport, going by the airport code of MSN, is recognized as the second busiest among the eight commercial airports located in the state. It was a US Army Air Corps airfield back in June 1942 and was used as a training ground for radio operators and mechanics during World War II.

MSN-Dane County Regional Airport underwent several renovations and expansions throughout the year. The first expansion was in 1966 when the terminal building was opened to the west side of the aerodrome. The airport was then tripled in size in 1986, expanding the terminal to 90,000 square feet. The airport currently has three runways, houses 156 aircraft, and serves five major airlines in the United States. These airlines offer non-stop flights to 15 hubs, amounting to no less than 95 departures and arrival every day. In fact, in 2016, the airport accommodated a whopping 1.8 million passengers. You can easily reach Hillsboro, Portage, and Westfield from the airport.
