Muak Lek: Small Town Destination
Muak Lek, Thailand is a district located in the east side of Saraburi Province. It is one of the largest districts of the province. Muek Lek is surrounded by various districts of Phatthan Nikhom, Lam Sonthi, Pak Chong, Mueang Nakhon Nayok and Kaeng Khoi. Geographically, it is perched on the hills of the Phetchabun Mountains. It separates Central to Northeast part of the county. It also lies in the south of Khao Yai National Park. The town was created in 1968 when a new district was formed containing about 33 villages. The northeast railway line passes through the town making it accessible.
Best Time to Visit
July to November are the best months to visit Muak Lek. During these months the weather is pleasant. It is not too hot which is perfect for walking around the town. There are two popular festivals happening Muak Lek namely Blooming Sunflower Fields and Cowboy Night. Muak Lek, Thailand hotels are busy during peak season.

The most popular attraction that is located in the town of Muak Lek is the Asia Pacific International University. It is one of the most notable educational institutions that is run by the Christian church. The main campus is found in the rural town. There are several accommodations in the main town of Mua Lek.
