Marudi Airport – MUR Marudi

Best Time to Visit
The Marudi Airport has an expansive aircraft parking bay, which is big enough to potentially host three or four de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter aircrafts all at the same time. The airport has an elevation of 338 feet. In the past, tourists traveling to the famous Gunung Mulu National Park used to enter the region via MUR-Marudi Airport. With the completion of a closer airport to the park, Marudi is flourishing as a worthwhile destination in itself. Marudi is said to be the cultural heart of the Orang Ulu and other indigenous peoples. Miri can also be visit when you land at the MUR.

With Marudi becoming a more established tourist destination in Malaysia, the hotel options are also improving in and beyond the city. There is no hotel near the Marudi Airport. However, you can book a room or suite at the 4-star Grand Palace Hotel, Palace Inn Marudi, and the Meritz Hotel, all located less than 30 miles from the airport.
While the MUR Marudi accepts flights to a number of locations in the state, there are other airports serving Sarawak, including the MYY-Miri Airport in Miri, Malaysia and the Mulu Airport in Mulu, Malaysia.
