Murray: A Vintage Mining Town Surrounded By Forests
Murray, Idaho is a community in the Shoshone County with a rich history. The striking colors of fall foliage make trips to Murray, ID and its surrounding forests during September to October especially pretty. Summer and winter are also great for traveling, but these months see the most tourists, so Murray accommodations and flights are more expensive.

Despite the charm of the unincorporated community, Murray, Idaho only has a few sites to visit, like the Sprag Pole Museum displaying items from abandoned homes and buildings. Plenty of amazing tourist spots are more than an hour’s drive away, including the famous Coeur d'Alene National Forest, which is one of the three Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Tourists can hit the slopes at Silver Mountain Ski Resort or play in the water with the whole family at the Silver Rapids Waterpark.
