Grant County International Airport – MWH Moses Lake
Grant County International Airport is part of the Grant County particularly situated 10 kilometers northwest of the city center of Moses Lake, Washington. The Port of Moses Lake owns the airport property which was formerly a military facility. It passed as a general aviation airport as categorized by the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011-2015. The airport started as a training airfield in 1966.

Grant County International Airport has a land area of 1,880 hectares of land with a very long runway measuring 13,500 foot in length. The airport has a total of five runways. Moses Lake’s location, which is east side of the Cascade Range and in the semi-arid desert of the Central Washington, has a very good weather which makes it perfect for flying. Inside the premises of the airport is the Big Bend Community College. Currently, there are an estimated 50 airplanes parked in the airport and a number is added every time. The airport serves as a storage facility of aircrafts like some of the 737 MAX airplanes waiting for clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration. Based on 2015 statistics, the airport handled 73,348 aircraft operations and 51 based aircrafts. The airport is surrounded by the cities of Soap Lake, Ephrata and Coulee City.
