National Ranching Heritage Center (NRHC) in Lubbock, Texas is a ranching history museum that features about 50 authentic ranch buildings from the late 18th century until the mid-20th century. Founded in 1969, it includes a barn, blacksmith shop, homesteads, railroad depot, schoolhouse, windmills, and other structures. Self-guided walking tours are available to the public for free.

Founded in 1989, it is dedicated to the collection and preservation of documentary records related to the Vietnam War. In fact, it is the biggest and most comprehensive collection of Vietnam War documents. It offers a conference or symposium and film festival every year. Guest lecture series are also available regularly. Tourists should also visit the nearby Lubbock Lake Landmark or Lubbock Lake Site. This significant archaeological site and natural history preserve, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. Make sure you also visit the South Plains Mall. Inaugurated in 1972, it is anchored by 4 major department stores, as well as a bookstore and a theater with 16 screens. It is home to more than 150 establishments.
