Nideggen: A Charming Castle Town
Famous for its Burg Nideggen castle and sandstone rocks in Rur, Nideggen, Germany is a town located in the Eifel hills of Düren in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is believed that the town was already established as early as 1184, but it was only in 1972 that it became the big town that it was now when eight communities were merged together.
Best Time to Visit
There are several festivals held in town during the late months of the year, but the biggest crowd-drawer of them all is in June when Nideggen observes its local town celebration, a time when Nideggen DE hotels enjoy full capacity as out-of-town visitors flock to town.
