Nikko: A Gorgeous Landscape
Located in the Tochigi prefecture is a cute city called Nikko, Japan. The city is world renowned for “Toshogu,” Japan’s elegantly and grand decorated shrine. Nikko is a city where history, greenery, and the religious come as one. The city is accessible from the busy Narita International Airport in Tokyo and from there on, you can hop on the metro station.

Nikko, Japan has four seasons and depending on what you wish to do, it is actually ideal to visit all-year round. The popular seasons for travelers though are between spring and autumn, of months March to May and September to November respectively, when the temperature is moderate cool and highly favorable for long walks. Take note that these are also the seasons when there is a high influx of tourists. It is during spring too that the locals celebrate Shunki Reitaisai or Grand Festival of Spring and it is a festival you should definitely not miss.
