Nomi: Home of the Popular Kutani Ceramics
Located in Ishikawa Prefecture is Nomi, Japan, which only became a city in 2005 from the merger of several towns. In the past, the area around the present-day Nomi occupied part of the ancient Kaga Province. March and April are also two of the best months to visit Nomi. During this time, most tourists flock to the city to enjoy the fine spring weather that’s ideal for sightseeing. Each year come early May; the city comes alive with The Kutani “Chawan” Porcelain Bowl Festival attracting over 200,000 tourists.
