Del Norte International Airport – NTR Nuevo Leon
Del Norte International Airport with code NTR is located in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. This is one of the airports found in Mexico’s largest cities. The airport was created in the 1940s by American Airlines. They wanted to provide service but there is no airfield in the area. After a number of incidents happening in the airport, the government was forced to build another airport called General Mariano Escobedo International Airport. Old traces of this airport can be seen in some hangars around the airport.

Del Norte International Airport (NTR) has over 123 hangars. Most of them are rented by private individuals and companies. The facilities include two runways, terminal buildings, jet bridges and boarding gates. Today, the airport is used for pilot training as well as chartered flights. In 2007, the runway was upgraded with ILS/DME. Visit the nearby cities of Icamole and Santa Catarina, which are also served by the airport.

Crowne Plaza Monterrey Aeropuerto is a 5-star hotel and less than 8 miles from the airport. The hotel is popular because of its recreation facilities like pool and fitness centers. Fiesta Inn Moterrey La Fe is 12 miles away from the airport. This is operated by a famous Grupo Mexican Group that is known to run a series of hotel chains. MS Millenium is a bit far which is about 15 miles away but the facilities are worth it. Recreational amenities include heated indoor pool, fitness center, ballroom, and concierge service.
Aside from the Del Norte International Airport, you can also land at the nearby Monterrey International Airport (MTY) and Saltillo Airport (SLW).
