Oberharz am Brocken, Germany is a town in Saxony-Anhalt formed in 2010. It is the result of the merger of Elbingerode with the municipalities of the former Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Brocken-Hochharz. Today, it is made up of 10 former municipalities.

The perfect time to visit Oberharz am Brocken is during the months of June through September, for the best weather. Peak tourist season is usually during the months of April, July, and September. Tourists are least likely to visit in August. One of the most famous events nearby is Melt Festival in Gräfenhainichen, which is held every third weekend of July. It was founded in 1997. Today, it is one of the largest open-air, electronic music festivals in the country.
