Odessa International Airport – ODS Odessa
Odessa International Airport is considered an important airport in Ukraine. It is serving the city of Odesa, Ukraine situated in the Black Sea. During summer, the airport is filled with holidaymakers visiting the popular destination spots in this side of the world. The international airport is 7km southwest of the famous “Odessa Central”. Years ago, the airport runways were shared with Ukrainian Air Force. Built-in the early 60’s, ODS-Odessa International Airport is serving close to a million passengers on a yearly basis. Recently, the government has started renovation and construction work that includes extending terminal as well as the main runway.

The Odessa International Airport (ODS) is covering around 570 hectares of land. Simultaneously, its technical areas can serve 4 planes. According to European standards, the airport falls under class 1. In 2012, the groundbreaking of the land has started. This is where the 26,000 square meters of the new terminal will be built. The terminal can serve around 2 million passengers per year. The new terminal can be accessed through bus pick up points found in the surrounding areas. Due to delays, the terminal was finally opened in 2017. Aside from Odes, the cities of Fontanka and Kryzhanivka are served by the airport.
