Visit the city from April to October. The city is prettiest in the fall with the trees changing colors. Fishing season also brings in a lot of visitors. Early winter and late spring are off seasons. The weather during this time still permits visitors to enjoy the great outdoors, but at more affordable hotel rates and fewer crowds. Ice fishing is also a popular winter time activity.
