Perm International Airport - PEE-Bolshoye Savino
Perm International Airport is a public and military airport in Perm, Russia operated by the Novaport Russian Air Force. It is an international airport that serves the areas of Perm and Perm Krai. Bus and minibus services also operate in the airport during daytime hours and are considered to be the major bus terminal in the region. PEE-Bolshoye Savino hosts several bomber aircrafts and small fighter planes in its property. Originally, the airport was under the personal control of one of the leaders during the World War II. It became a civilian airport in 1965.
Best Time to Visit
Perm International Airport served as the replacement of the nearby Bakharevka Airport. It originally had 39 parking spots, a terminal area for guests and a cargo area. In 2002, the runway was expanded from 2,500 meters to 3,200 meters. To be able to accommodate the increase in demand required for regional flights, a new passenger terminal was built and opened in November 2017. Seasonal flights are also served in the airport to destinations such as Antalya, Sochi and Simferopol. Gamovo is a nearby recreational destination where you can see museums, galleries and other cultural destinations. Cities/towns that surrounds PEE Airport include Chuvaki, Ferma and a lot more.
