Portimao: A Seaport Gem of the Algarve Region
Portimao is a municipality in Faro district and the largest town in the Algarve Region in Portugal. Traditionally, the town’s major industry is sardine fishing and shipbuilding but today it is popular destination for tourists who are looking for ultimate shopping experience while enjoying the Portuguese beach life and delicious cuisine. Portimao old town that was once a fishing dock was turned into a scenic board walk leading to the tree-lined plaza of the old town.
