Recanati: Exploring the Italian City of Poetry
Found in the Macerata province, Recanati, Italy is a century-old town dating back to 1150 AD. Aside from the commune’s historical sites, it is also proudly the hometown of two famous poets, Giacomo Leopardi and Beniamino Gigli. This earned the city the nickname “City of Poetry.” Since the town attracts a couple of thousand of tourists yearly, you can find numerous hotels and accommodations in and around the city.

The city is best visited between April to July and August to November. These dates are marked with pleasant weather comfortable temperatures.
