Rogers Centre or Skydome is a stadium located in the downtown area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is situated in the southwest part of the CN Tower. It is also near the shores of Lake Ontario. Rogers Centre was opened in 1989 and considered the home of Toronto Blue Jays. For years, the center hosted football games. Although it is a sports venue, other events are held in the center like trade fairs, concerts, carnivals, and truck shows. In 2005, the stadium was called the Rogers Center when the Rogers Communication who owned the team had purchased the venue. It was the first stadium to have a retractable roof. There is also a 348 room hotel that is attached to it. About 70 rooms, overlook the field.
