Saint-Brieuc Armor Airport – SBK Saint-Brieuc
An airport located more than 4.3 miles northwest of Saint-Brieuc, in a commune of the Côtes-d'Armordepartmentcalled Trémuson, is the Saint-Brieuc Armor Airport. It is also called Saint-Brieuc – Trémuson Airport because of its location. The airport also serves as base for maintenance of the Atlantic Air Industries, which concentrates in the overhaul and maintenance of local and commuter airlines. Their hangar on the site occupies a large space of the SBK Saint-Brieuc. As of today, the airport is no longer servicing regular flights to national and international destinations, hence the airport’s activities are now focused on the types of activities like private aviation, import and export of merchandise, leisure flying, training and some medical flights.
Best Time to Visit
The airport is composed of a single runway and only one passenger terminal. There is a restaurant and a bar available on the site for travelers to have some food. A car rental service is also available nearby. Passenger traffic on the airport was 3000 during the year 2016, making a 15% compared to the previous year. Brelevenez and Lannion are the only surrounding cities near SBK Saint-Brieuc.
