The Salisbury-Ocean City: Wicomico Regional Airport, Salisbury Regional Airport for short, is the only commercial airport in the area. It is located in Wicomico County, near Salisbury County, Maryland, USA and serves both counties including Delaware, Ocean City, Cambridge, and Easton. The Salisbury Regional Airport, whose airport code is SBY, dates back to 1940 when Wicomico County and Salisbury City started building the airport. It was officially opened in 1943 and was leased to US Navy during World War II until 1945. It was only in 1949 when the airport continued operation as a public and commercial facility.

SBY-Salisbury Regional Airport is a public type airport. It is owned by Wicomico County and operated by Wicomico County Airport Commission. It has also two runways with asphalt surfaces. Its terminal measures 26,000 square feet. In the southeast portion of the building there is a ticket counter and a TSA bag scanning area. After the war, the airport underwent many improvements. Airlines come and go. In 2016, Donald Trump’s landed his Boeing 757 in the airport. As of 2018, the airport made 64,393 enplanements. You can easily drive to the tourists' sites of Ocean City, Ocean Pines, and Showell from the airport.
