St. Louis Lambert International Airport
The St. Louis Lambert International Airport is known as the largest and busiest airport in the US state of Missouri. It is the primary airport in the St. Louis area and serves as a metropolitan commercial airport. Its airport code, STL, stands for the airport’s city name location which is St. Louis, MO. In 1920, the field where the airport is located was called Lambert St. Louis Flying Field. In 1930, it was officially named Lambert-St. Louis Municipal Airport. In 2016, to emphasize the importance of St. Louis, the airport was finally named St. Louis Lambert International Airport. As of 2018, 15.6 million passengers travelled through the STL airport.

The STL-St. Louis Lambert International Airport has two separate terminals: Terminal 1 and 2. Terminal one has four concourses; A, B, C, and D. B and D is currently vacant, while Terminal 2 is solely for Southwest Airline departures and arrivals. As of 2018, the airport has 18 active gates.
