The bulk of visitors arrive during summer when sunset comes around 9pm. However, the ideal time to visit Stockton is from May to September when the temperature is pleasant and there is limited rainfall. If you’re heading to the ski resorts, the best time to visit is from December to March. The nearby Sundance, home of the annually-held Sundance Film Festival is busiest in January when film enthusiasts as well as skiers troop to the resort and tourists spill over to places like Stockton.
