Surabaya is the capital of East Java and is the second-largest city in the country of Indonesia. Surabaya, Indonesia is one of the earliest port cities in Southeast Asia and was in fact already a major trading port even in the late 15th and 16th centuries. The city has a rich history and is known as Kota Pahlawan or City of Heroes because of the Battle of Surabaya. Surabaya is also one of the cleanest and greenest cities in the country of Indonesia. Best Time to Visit
Surabaya, Indonesia has two seasons, the wet and dry season. It is best to plan to visit the city during the dry season so that outdoor activities like sightseeing will be possible. The dry season is during May to September. While it is still possible to visit the city during the wet season from October to April, the place can be a little difficult to explore due to high temperature as well as heavy rainfall.
