Tekirdag, Turkey is a city that was once known as Eastern Thrace. According to history, the city was previously known as Bisanthe or Rheadestus back in ancient texts. It was referred as such all the way until the Byzantine era, before it was renamed when the Ottomans conquered it. These days, Tekirdag hotels are modern, with only remnants of its rich history.
