Thule Air Base – THU
The Thule Air Base, also called Pituffik Airport, is the United States Air Force Base located in Pituffik, Greenland. The airport is used mostly for United States Armed Forces units and installations such as 21st Space Wing, 12th Space Warning Squadron, and 23rd Space Operations Squadron. It is also base of North American Aerospace Defense Command and Air Force Space Command. With all of these military offensive and defensive bases, the airport is a large air public transport facility that handles more than 3,000 US and international flights every year.
