Unirea Shopping Center in Bucharest, Romania is one of the two large Unirea Shopping Centers in Romania, the other one lies in the city of Brasov. The mall opened in 1976 as a department store and it was the biggest in Communist Romania. During the 1900s, the building was transformed into a shopping center and was extended in 1989. Today, the mall features an 83,971-square-foot area and 1,000 parking spaces, as well as a shopping area with more than 100 retail stores selling various goods and products such as home decorations/appliances, mobile phones, cosmetics, clothing, shoes, and more.
