Vinh Airport –VII Vinh
Vinh Airport, which operates under the airport code, VII is located in Vinh, Vietnam located in the province of Nghệ An situated in northern Vietnam. VII, operated by Middle Airport Authority, functions as a military and civil airport. It is one of two military bases in the country with the other one located in Hanoi.
In 2018, this airport attended to a total of 1.8 million passengers. From 2002 to 2015, VII received a surge of passengers, which had the highest rate in all airports in Vietnam. In 2015, VII opened a new terminal built to accommodate 3 million passengers, which cost an estimate of $37.65 million.

Vinh Airport primarily serves the town of Vinh including its neighboring town, Cua Lo.
International flights were opened in 2014 with routes to Laos operated by Vietnam Airlines. However, due to lack of passengers, the scheduled flights were canceled in 2015.
