Warrenton, OR is a coastal city in Clatsop County named after one of its early settlers, Daniel Knight Warren. It was platted in 1889 and incorporated as a city 10 years later. The city has always been a fishing and logging community.

With a warm-summer climate, the perfect time to visit Warrenton is during the months of June through September. Peak tourist season is usually from June until August. People are least likely to visit in December. Every October, the Warrenton Fall Festival is held. Some of the highlights of the event are carnival games, craft booths, hayrides, petting zoo, and trunk-or-treat. Another event to look forward to is Clatsop County Fair and Expo, which is held annually some time between July and August. The event features bazaars, car shows, circuses, concerts, and go-kart races.
