Willits: Exploring the History, Vineyards and Fine Wine of the Region
Willits was originally known as Little Lake later Willitsville before it was named Willits in 1874 and was incorporated in 1888. The region was named in honor of Hiram Willits, an early settler from Indiana who built a home near the Little Lake Valley in 1857.
