World Fashion Centre, Amsterdam, Netherlands
World Fashion Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands is a building complex that is made up of three towers and a parking garage and houses a great number of clothing producers, sellers, and designers. It also has over 400 showrooms and a lot of national and international labels and brands, which make WFC views itself as the biggest fashion trade hub on the planet. Formerly called the Clothing Center, the complex opened in March 1968 and since then, it provides office and showroom rentals with the use of facilities offered at the site. In addition, the center also hosts all kinds of events at its on-site event space.
World Fashion Centre serves as the rendezvous of top fashion retailers, wholesalers, and brands for talking about the latest fashion trends and of course for working. Around the property is an excellent selection of hotels that are dedicated to providing a comfortable stay for every guest. XO Hotels Couture is only a five-minute walk from WFC and it offers air-conditioned rooms with complimentary internet access. Two of the other hotels close-by are Bastion Hotel Amsterdam Zuidwest and Westcord Fashion Hotel Amsterdam that are also complete with top-quality amenities. After visiting the fashion center, it would be nice to head to Amsterdam Chinatown to savor Asian dishes at the restaurants or purchase Asian products from the shops. Learning about the 17th century at Historische Tuin Aalsmeer Horticultural Museum in Aalsmeer and having a nice picnic at Sarphatipark in Oud-Zuid are also fun things to do while in Amsterdam.
