Wuyishan Airport – WUS China
Wuyishan Airport, also known as Nanping Wuyishan Airport, is a public airport that serves the cities of Wuyishan and Nanping in the province of Fujian, China. It is located between Wuyi City downtown and the scenic area of Mt. Wuyi, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although it was constructed in 1958 as a military airbase, WUS Airport has been serving commercial flights since 1994. It handles domestic flights to more than 25 destinations and international flights to Bangkok, Hong Kong and Macao. In 2015, Wuyishan Airport was recorded to have handled 5,689 aircraft movements and to have served a total of 503,090 passengers.
Best Time to Visit
Formerly known as Chong’an Airport, Wuyishan Airport has two levels, three boarding gates and one runway. Although it is only a medium-sized airport, WUS Airport is fully functional, as it is equipped with modern facilities that ensure efficient operations. Aside from the usual ticketing, security check and waiting areas, the airport has VIP Rooms, a First Class Lounge, and even a Nursing Room. Wuyishan Airport serves as a gateway to places like Mashiwu, Guangfeng County and Kukengpeng.

Travelers to WUS Airport would be happy to know that there are many hotels near the airport. One of these is the Chun Hui Traders Hotel, which is a mere 3-minute drive away. Located 1.68 miles from the airport is Wuyishan Linxi Villa. There is also Floral Hotel Shuizhuang No.8 Holiday Villa in Wuyishan, which is only 2.5 miles from the airport.
About four hours from WUS Airport is Jingdezhen Luojia Airport (JDZ), which serves Jingdezhen City in the Jiangxi Province.
