Tofino-Long Beach Airport – YAZ Airport
Known as the gateway to the west coast of Vancouver Island, the Tofino-Long Beach Airport is a Canadian airport just 7 miles southeast of Tofino, British Columbia, Canada. Three major air carriers fly to the airport, including Pacific Coastal Airlines, Island Express Air, and San Juan Airlines. With these flights, travelers can easily access the tourist havens of Tofino, Long Beach, and Ucluelet. The airport is owned and operated by the Alberni Valley Regional District.

With three runways all measuring 5,000 feet long, the Tofino-Long Beach Airport is equipped to accommodate both small planes and large aircrafts up to the size of a Boeing 737. It is most often used by private and small commercial turboprop aircrafts. Coastal fog is one of the drawbacks of YAZ, presenting challenges to air access until the fog clears. It usually occurs during summertime in the area. Tofino Inlet and Ucluelet are among the cities that are served by YAZ.
