Sydney Nova Scotia Airport also known as J.A. Douglas McCurdy Airport with an airport code of YQY and a city airport located in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. The airport was created in 1929 through the Cape Breton Flying Club and the Department of National Defense granted and improved the facility in 1938. In March 1946, the Department of Transportation acknowledged the future of the airport and presumed operation and the first license of J.A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport was released on March, 1047.
