Yuchi: Breathtaking Views of the Sun Moon Lake
Yuchi is a township located in Nantou County, Taiwan. The township was formerly called Go-sia-po. Yuchi gets its fair share of tourists thanks to its location near the Sun Moon Lake, the largest body of water in Taiwan. Nantou county, where Yuchi is located, is also a popular tourist destination because of its mountainous area giving tourists plenty to do and explore. The surrounding countryside of Sun Moon Lake has been designated as national scenic areas in Taiwan. Visitors can get to Yuchi, Taiwan through the Taichung International Airport.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to pay a visit to Yuchi Township is from November to April. Although the months of January and November are usually crowded, it still has the best weather for outdoor explorations, of which there are many in Yuchi. Keep in mind that accommodations may be expensive during this time. To get better deals, visitors should book in advance.
What to Do & Area Attractions
Visit the Kong-ming Temple and the Xuanzang Temple in Yuchi, Taiwan. There are also other temples and pagodas that are worthy of a visit for its beautiful architecture. Sun Moon Lake Ci’en Ta is a great destination to visit when in Yuchi. But since swimming in the lake is prohibited, visitors can go to the Sun Moon Lake Peacock Park.
