Zamboanga International Airport – ZAM Zamboanga
Zamboanga International Airport is situated in Zamboanga City, Philippines. The airport is managed by Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines. It is the third most active airport and the foremost airport serving Zamboanga City in the Philippines. The airport was built in 1945 and afterwards upgrades were undertaken by the US Army airport construction unit. The new Zamboanga International Airport was established in 1974. The intended plan of moving the present airport to another location has pushed through which is now up and running as stated.

ZAM-Zamboanga International Airport has a sole runway with 2,610 meters in length by 45 meters in width. The runway is equipped with runway lights that can assist night landings and workable for 24 hour airport operations. The airport has one terminal customized by a Mindanao-an architect with the assistance of Leandro Locsin, a national artist. A 30,000 square meter apron is found inside the terminal and there are plans to build another apron to serve more airplanes. The airport has an up to date control tower, fire station and hangars located on the southwest of the terminal. Popular destinations from the airport include Cebu, Davao, Cotabato, Tawi-Tawi, Jolo and Manila.
