The Brussels South Charleroi Airport or most locally known as Gosselies Airport, or Brussels-Charleroi Airport or Charleroi Airport is an international airport in Belgium. It is located in Gosselies in Charleroi, Wallonia, Belgium and serves the area and the nearby places. The Brussels South Charleroi Airport, whose airport code is CRL, dates back to 1919 as a flying school and followed by aeronautical activities the next year. During 2nd World War, the site was used as an Advanced Landing Ground. After the war, the airport was converted to public and commercial use.

It has a runway with asphalt as its surface and an elevation of 614 feet above mean sea level. The airport is also close to one of Belgium’s most visited places, the Vlezeenbek. Vlezeenbek is home to Belgian’s chocolate and Lindemans Beer.
