Pajara, A Summer Getaway Off the Coast of Spain
Known as the biggest and the south-westmost municipality located in Fuerteventura island, Pajara, Spain is home of over 20,000 residents. The municipality is subdivided into smaller towns, with the coastal areas of Costa Calma and Morro Jable as the largest ones. Fly into the city via the Fuerteventura Airport standing at the municipality of Puerto del Rosario, a little over six hours away from Pajara.
Best Time to Visit
February and March are two of the best months to visit Pajara, thanks to Morro Jable’s annual celebration of the Fuerteventura Carnival and the generally enjoyable weather during this season. The event features all things carnival, from funfairs to musical performances. However, tourism is at its peak during this season as well, so expect most of the Pajara, Spain hotels to be at their most expensive.
What to Do & Area Attractions
The island where Pajara is located is named as the most attractive destination for tourists with interests in environment, cultural heritage, and sustainability. That said, it is no longer surprising that the town is dotted with scenic and powdery sand beaches, some of which are the Ajuy Beach and the Costa Calma Beach. If you’re into the historical aspect of the town, you can always visit the Villa Winter Museum, a villa commissioned by a German engineer and is now riddled with a handful of conspiracies involving Nazis. Complete your Pajara experience with a stay at Melia Fuerteventura, H10 Tindaya, and Occidental Jandía Playa, where you can enjoy a good view of the coastal landscape.
